Antique Sheffield Lithograph: 1745 Framed Print

A lithographic engraving by Samuel & Nathaniel Buck, otherwise known as, the Buck Brothers (c. 1745). Paid for by the Morning Telegraph in association with Sheffield City Library, this print is in good antique condition. The detail in the drawing is quite remarkable. The etching shows the viewer Sheffield as the traveller would see it approaching from the South in 1745. The history of this etching can be read in the pictures. The cutlery trades were enjoying increased prosperity during this time. Some slight scuffs around the frame. There appear to be some gaps in the frame's corners but the reverse side is flush and tight. The backing is in good condition despite the original tape starting to peel; this can be easily fixed upon request. Dimensions - Width - 29.25 inches Height - 14.75 inches Old decor is beautiful, unique and offers a more environmentally sustainable way to shop.
